Bruce Message, Managing Director

Bruce

Bruce is the Managing Director of Premier Consulting, and has been involved in banking and finance his entire career.

His career started in the equities and securities trading markets and then moved into corporate finance. His work in this area, as the role of Managing Director of Chemical Bank (the New York based investment bank) included the facilitation and development of major client groups in project finance infrastructure transactions.

His background in project finance provides a strong understanding of the financial drivers behind development processes, and the importance of incorporating acceptable returns and payback durations. This experience has given him the foundations required to create value around strategies in relation to build/own/operate projects, joint venture arrangements and debt/equity funding.

In 2007 he was first introduced to the aged care and retirement sector, and at that time, he recognised the impact he and his team could bring to the sector by transferring skills and wisdom in a way that would provide greater certainty around an operator’s investment decision making process.

Bruce is able to bring together his deep understanding of the debt and equity markets, combined with his knowledge of the industry, to assist in identifying key financial risk drivers and potential mitigants. This is typically achieved through presenting a range of alternative options that are designed to maximise returns, ensuring long term growth and bankability.

Bruce is a regular speaker at industry forums, where he presents papers on new initiatives targeting the importance of adopting strategies that support the financial feasibility of individual facilities, as well as sustaining longevity for operating entities.


James McCullough, Project Manager

James

James is responsible for preparing financial models and project analysis.

James has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree with a double major in Philosophy and Psychology. Since joining the firm in January 2008, James has brought a fresh perspective to financial modeling, utilising his strengths in mathematics and logic to develop innovative, sophisticated financial models for clients in the sector.

James continually strives to improve upon existing practices to best meet the requirements of individual clients. The modeling techniques introduced by James are now forming the basis for new staff training programs and client presentations.


Stephanie Lee, Project Analyst

Steph

As a project analyst, Stephanie is responsible for building customised financial feasibility models to assist with the in-depth client analysis and understanding of aged care projects.

Stephanie grew up in Malaysia. In 2007, she was awarded a scholarship to complete her Bachelor degree in Accounting & Finance at the University of Technology, Sydney. In 2009, Stephanie completed her Masters in Corporate Finance.

Since joining Premier, Stephanie has supported the aged care team by increasing her knowledge in the sector and applying her technical accounting and finance understanding to the feasibility process.


Megan De Paoli, Office Services

Megan recently moved to Sydney from the South Coast of NSW to further extend her career. Prior to her move to the city, she attained her Diploma of Accounting and then worked with a local accounting firm.

Megan joined Premier in March 2009 and her responsibilities include the smooth running of the day to day operations of the company. Using her well developed organisational skills, combined with her great personality, Megan monitors timings on company projects and has assisted in the design and implementation of a record keeping system specialised to suit the process of the projects produced by the team. Her other responsibilities include company accounts administration, database management, preparing marketing and presentation material and assisting in the preparation of client documents.
