In Australia, only 5% of retirees over 65 choose to live in a retirement village. This workshop, commissioned by the RVA, will answer the question of why this number is so low, and offer practical solutions on how the next generation of retirement developments need to change to capture this huge potential market.


Bruce Message (MD of Premier Consulting), will be presenting on Financial Feasibility, with an emphasis on:

  • assessing the financial viability of retirement village projects (both new and existing);
  • key project variables;
  • the importance of operating cash flows (e.g. DMFs); and
  • how to maximise returns through 'value engineering'.
